Merger between Vodafone Malta and Melita called off
Dec 8, 2017 – In May 2017, Vodafone, Apax Partners and Fortino Capital announced their intention to combine Vodafone Malta with Melita. However, the parties have been unable to satisfy the Maltese Competition Authority's requirements and so have decided to terminate the transaction.

Warburg Pincus sells Poland's INEA to Macquarie

OTT and pay TV to bring in $283 billion in 2022
Dec 5, 2017 – Pay TV and OTT revenues combined will reach $283 billion by 2022; up by 18% from $239 billion in 2016, according to Digital TV Research. OTT’s contribution to the revenue total will increase from 15% in 2016 to 29% in 2022.

US military launch MPEG-4 HD STBs with Inview middleware
