Poland's DTT launch set for September
Jan 15, 2009 – According to the National Broadcasting Council (Krajowej Rady Radiofonii i Telewizji - KRRiT), Poland's first DTT multiplex will launch in September 2009 covering Warsaw, Zielona Góra, Poznan and Zagan.

Israel DTT launch set for July 2009
Jan 15, 2009 – The launch of DTT services in Israel is due to take place in July 2009 using MPEG-4 AVC compression. Analogue switch-off is planned to be completed by the end of 2010.

France - HD/H.264 tuner for ≥66cm TV sets as of 1 December 2009
Sep 9, 2008 – TV manufacturers are required to include an MPEG-4 AVC HD tuner in all television sets sized 66cm (26 inches) and above as of 1 December 2009.
