Pan-African pay TV platforms set to boom
Sep 16, 2015 – Pan-African pay TV platforms are set to boom, according to Digital TV Research. Pay DTT platform GOtv will gain 5.84 million subs between 2014 and 2020 to reach 7.50 million – more than quadruple its 2014 total.

Digital video revenues to overtake physical video in East Asia Pacific by 2017

TV shipments post largest annual decline in five years

MaxLinear MxL683 ISDB-T STB receiver shipments pass 10 million

Ultra HD TV to feature in 61% of TV sales by 2020

Sky to overtake Liberty Global in Western Europe

Mexico leads Latin America's VOD OTT market

83% of U.S. households subscribe to a pay TV service
Sep 3, 2015 – According to Leichtman Research Group (LRG), about 83% of all households nationwide subscribe to some form of pay-TV service. The percentage of households that subscribe to a pay-TV service is down from 87% in 2010, but up from 81% in 2005.
