Inview to provide DTT set-top box software for Nigeria
Mar 17, 2015 – Nigeria's National Broadcasting Commission has signed an agreement with Inview Technologies for the provision of a National Common Set-Top-Box system. Inview, in collaboration with a consortium of Nigerian broadcasters, will make available software for the provision of key services.

MEDIA BROADCAST awarded DVB-T2 operator licence for Germany
Mar 17, 2015 – Germany's State Media Authorities have awarded MEDIA BROADCAST the contract to provide the country's DVB-T2 DTT platform. Construction of the new platform will begin in spring of 2016.

Digital TV homes to double in Latin America
Mar 17, 2015 – Despite slowing economic growth, the number of digital TV households in Latin America will double by 2020. Digital TV Research forecasts that Digital TV will climb from only 17.9% penetration of TV households at end-2010 to just over the halfway mark by end-2014 and onto 93.6% by 2020.

Malawi looking to pre-qualify DVB-T2 set-top distributors

Asia Pacific pay TV revenues to climb by $10 billion
Mar 10, 2015 – Pay TV revenues in the Asia Pacific region (22 countries) will grow by $10 billion between 2014 and 2020, according to Digital TV Research. The Digital TV Asia Pacific Forecasts report estimates that pay TV revenues will reach $41.52 billion by 2020.

Dutch TV market grows in Q4 driven by IPTV via DSL, fibre
Mar 8, 2015 – According to a Telecompaper report, the Dutch TV market reported 20,000 net additions during the fourth quarter of 2014, to end the year with 7.76 million subscribers. The growth was driven by 0.6 percent increase in digital TV subscribers.
