DVB Takes Steps To Reinforce IPR Policy
Nov 30, 2007 – The DVB Project has announced the adoption of new procedures in its efforts to promote the wide availability of technology based on DVB standards. This initiative is the result of a broad review in response to members' concerns about the perceived delays and uncertainties in relation to the launch of the MHP licensing programme.

MPEG LA Issues ATSC Patent Portfolio License
Sep 20, 2007 – MPEG LA has announced the availability of the ATSC Patent Portfolio License. The joint license includes patents that are essential to the digital television standard developed by the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) and used in digital TVs sold in the United States, South Korea, Mexico, Canada and other countries.
