CRTC approves Rogers' acquisition of Shaw's broadcasting services

Canal+ expands ground services partnership with SES
Mar 17, 2022 – SES and CANAL+ have expanded their partnership with an agreement for uplink services for CANAL+'s French Pay-TV channel bouquet at 19.2° East. The agreement includes services delivered from two teleports, in Luxembourg, and, starting in 2023, Munich.

HISPASAT and NAGRA to launch wholesale OTT service in Latin America

Major U.S. pay TV providers lost 4.7 million subscribers in 2021
Mar 8, 2022 – Leichtman Research Group (LRG) has found that the largest pay TV providers in the U.S. lost about 4,690,000 net video subscribers in 2021, compared to a pro forma net loss of about 4,870,000 in 2020.

Türk Telekom TV subscribers down 0.1 million in 4Q 2021
Feb 15, 2022 – Türk Telekom has released results for the fourth quarter of 2021. Over the quarter total TV subscribers (IPTV, DTH and Tivibu GO) reduced by 0.1 million to 2.9 million, with Tivibu Home subscribers (IPTV and DTH) remaining unchanged at 1.5 million.

Airtel Digital TV subscribers up 79,000 in 4Q 2021
Feb 8, 2022 – Bharti Airtel has announced results for its third quarter ended December 31, 2021. Digital TV revenue remained stable with the customer base growing 79,000 in the quarter to finish the year at 18.1 million.
