Pay TV service adoption higher in the U.K. and Germany than in Spain
Nov 19, 2014 – Parks Associates has announced research showing pay-TV adoption in Germany and the U.K. has reached 86% and 78% of broadband households, respectively. Spanish adoption is much lower, with 47% of broadband households receiving only local broadcast channels.

Sky completes Sky Italia and Sky Deutschland deals
Nov 13, 2014 – Sky has created Europe’s leading entertainment company after completing the acquisition of Sky Italia and a majority interest in Sky Deutschland. The enlarged group will serve 20 million customers across five countries: Italy, Germany, Austria, the UK and Ireland.

Sky Italia subscribers down another 21,000 in 3Q 2014
Nov 4, 2014 – Twenty-First Century Fox (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) has reported results for the three months ended September 30, 2014. Sky Deutschland grew net direct subscribers by 96,000 during the quarter, while SKY Italia’s subscriber base declined by 21,000.
