Algeria Telecom Realises Triple Play Ambitions
Feb 16, 2010 – Netgem and Algeria Telecom have announced the launch of SAFIR, the first IPTV service in Algeria. SAFIR is being rolled out over Africa's largest FTTH network and will offer a mix of digital TV services and a choice of 60 IP-delivered TV channels.

T-Hrvatski Telekom IPTV subscribers up 74% in 2009
Feb 16, 2010 – T-Hrvatski Telekom (Reuters: THTC.L, HT.ZA; Bloomberg: THTC LI, HTRA CZ) has announced results for the year ended 31 December 2009. By the end of 2009, IPTV customers reached 235,980, an increase of 74.1% from the beginning of the year.

Telekom Austria customers get enhanced IPTV

ETSI Formally Adopts New Release Of GEM/MHP Interactive Standards
Feb 15, 2010 – DVB has announced that ETSI has adopted as standards the new release versions of the MHP 1.2.2 and GEM 1.2.2 specifications. GEM now takes over the role of DVB's primary middleware specification, and MHP becomes a derived specification based on GEM.

Viasat adds 30,000 premium pay-TV subscribers in 4Q09
Feb 11, 2010 – MTG (OMX: MTGA, MTGB) has announced results for the period ended 31 December 2009. For the quarter, Viasat added 21,000 net premium IPTV and satellite (DTH) subscribers in the Nordic region, and 9,000 net DTH subscribers in the Baltics and Ukraine.
