SES to launch two satellites with SpaceX
Feb 25, 2015 – SES (Paris; Luxembourg: SESG) has announced an agreement with SpaceX to launch two new satellites in 2017. SES-14 will bring additional capacity to serve growing Direct-to-Home and Direct-to-Cable video neighbourhoods in the Americas. SES-16/GovSat is for government-specific missions.

Telefónica adds 437,000 pay TV subscribers in 4Q 2014
Feb 25, 2015 – Telefónica has presented its FY 2014 results. Pay TV accesses totaled 5.1 million, up 48% year-on-year in organic terms, on the back of 437 thousand net additions in the final quarter. In Spain, Pay TV accesses almost tripled over the year.

Kaltura and IBM to power Turner LatAm Cloud-TV

94,000 video subscribers for Mexico's AXTEL TV
Feb 20, 2015 – Axtel has announced fourth quarter results for the period ended December 31, 2014. Axtel launched its pay-TV service, AXTEL TV, on January 30th, 2013, and as of December 31, 2014, video subscribers reached 94 thousand compared to 61 thousand a year ago.

DIRECTV US up 149,000 subscribers; DTVLA up 118,000 in 4Q 2014
Feb 19, 2015 – DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) has reported fourth quarter 2014 results. DIRECTV U.S. added 149,000 subscribers, Sky Brasil lost 1,000 subscribers and the remainder of Latin America added 119,000 subscribers in the quarter.

Cablevisión Monterrey introduces mirada end-to-end solution

Paraguay adds 59,000 pay TV subscribers in 1H 2014
Feb 16, 2015 – Paraguay’s telecoms services regulator, CONATEL, has released telecommunications statistics for the country for the first half of 2014. Paraguay ended the half with 405 thousand pay TV subscribers, up from 293 thousand at the end of June 2013.

Dish Mexico selects Octoshape for multiscreen OTT streaming

Ecuador adds 53,128 pay TV subscribers in 4Q 2014
Feb 4, 2015 – Ecuador’s Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUPERTEL) has released pay TV statistics for the country to the end of 2014. Ecuador finished the year with 1,210,575 pay TV subscribers, up 53,128 (4.59%) in the quarter.
