Digital cable TV subscribers in Germany approaching 8 million
Jun 11, 2012 – The association of German Cable Operators (ANGA) has releases figures for the cable market in Germany. According to ANGA, there are more than 18 million cable TV households with about 42 percent receiving a digital service.

Connected TV sales booming in Europe
Jun 11, 2012 – According to BITKOM, connected TV sales in Europe are booming, with the number of sets sold this year expected to be up 68% on 2011 at 19.1 million units. Over one third of TVs sold (37%) are now internet enabled.

North American pay TV revenues to peak next year
Jun 7, 2012 – Pay TV revenues in North America will peak in 2013, before gradually falling by $2.6 billion to reach $88.2 billion in 2017, according to a new report from Digital TV Research.

Pay TV subscribers in Portugal up 3.2% in 1Q 2012
Jun 4, 2012 – According to Portugal's Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM), there were 3.073 million subscribers to subscription TV as at the end of 1st Quarter 2012 (1Q2012), 96 thousand more than in the previous quarter.

Pay-TV Accounts to Surpass 1 Billion in 2014
May 31, 2012 – Pyramid Research expects that pay TV accounts will surpass the 1 billion mark in 2014 globally, with cable accounting for 58 percent of the total, down from 66 percent in 2011. By end-2014, IPTV subscriptions will exceed 100 million.

Dutch digital TV connections grow 2.5% in first quarter of 2012
May 31, 2012 – The number of digital TV connections in the Netherlands grew by 2.5 percent during the first quarter of 2012 to 6.27 million on 31 March 2012, according to Telecompaper's quarterly Dutch Television Subscribers report.

Satellite TV subscribers up 26.9% Y-o-Y in Mexico in 1Q 2012
May 28, 2012 – According to Mexico's Telecommunications Sector Production Index, at the end of the first quarter of 2012 there were 5.982 million DTH users in the country, an increase of 26.9% versus Q1 2011. Cable TV grew 4.2% to 5.645 million subscribers.
