EUTELSAT 115 West B satellite gears up for launch
Feb 26, 2015 – EUTELSAT 115 West B, the first all-electric satellite for Eutelsat Communications (Paris: ETL), is scheduled for launch by SpaceX using the Falcon 9 rocket on 1 March. Built by Boeing Defense and Space, Eutelsat’s latest satellite arrived in Cape Canaveral on 25 January.

Deutsche Telekom adds 109,000 TV customers in 4Q 2014
Feb 26, 2015 – Deutsche Telekom (Frankfurt: DTE)(NYSE:DT) has released its fourth quarter 2014 results report. The company added 65 thousand TV customers in Germany during the final quarter. In the same period DT’s other European businesses gained 44 thousand TV customers.

SES to launch two satellites with SpaceX
Feb 25, 2015 – SES (Paris; Luxembourg: SESG) has announced an agreement with SpaceX to launch two new satellites in 2017. SES-14 will bring additional capacity to serve growing Direct-to-Home and Direct-to-Cable video neighbourhoods in the Americas. SES-16/GovSat is for government-specific missions.

Telefónica adds 437,000 pay TV subscribers in 4Q 2014
Feb 25, 2015 – Telefónica has presented its FY 2014 results. Pay TV accesses totaled 5.1 million, up 48% year-on-year in organic terms, on the back of 437 thousand net additions in the final quarter. In Spain, Pay TV accesses almost tripled over the year.

Express-AM7 satellite due for launch on March 19th
Feb 24, 2015 – Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) has announced that its Express-AM7 satellite has been delivered to Baikonur. The launch of a Proton-M/Breeze-M with the satellite on board is scheduled for March 19, 2015.

Thor 7 satellite arrives in French Guiana
Feb 23, 2015 – Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc) has announced that its THOR 7 satellite has arrived safely at the Guiana Spaceport in Kourou. THOR 7 is now set to start its final preparations before its launch by Arianespace, scheduled for mid-April 2015.

Dish Network pay TV subscribers down 63,000 in 4Q 2014
Feb 23, 2015 – DISH Network (NASDAQ: DISH) has reported fourth quarter 2014 results. DISH ended the year with 13.978 million Pay-TV subscribers compared with 14.057 million at the end of 2013, and 14.041 million at the end of Q3.

New Zealand Sky TV subscribers down 8,707 in 2H 2014
Feb 23, 2015 – New Zealand Sky Television (NZX: SKT) has reported results for the six months to 31 December 2014. Sky finished the year with 856,348 subscribers, down 8,707 subscribers compared to the end of June. MY SKY penetration increased from 58.6% to 64.2% of satellite subscribers during the year.
