UPC adds over 400,000 DVR cable RGUs in the last twelve months
Nov 4, 2009 – Liberty Global (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK) has announced results for the quarter ended September 30, 2009. In the last twelve months, digital cable RGUs have grown by 42% or 1.9 million, to give a digital penetration of 45%.

FOXTEL Next Generation To Launch November 15
Sep 29, 2009 – FOXTEL has unveiled details of its next generation services. FOXTEL will launch 30 additional channels this year. Along with the new channels will come an online television service. FOXTEL Next Generation launches on November 15, 2009.

Sep 29, 2009 – Austar (ASX: AUN) has announced that its Next Generation television product will be launched on November 15. The new MyStar HD service will include 13 subscription channels and local free-to-air channels in high-defintion (HD).

TiVo subscribers down 146 thousand in quarter to end-July 2009
Aug 26, 2009 – TiVo (NASDAQ: TIVO) has reported results for its second quarter ended July 31, 2009. TiVo lost 42,000 direct subscribers and 104,000 subscribers through MSOs/broadcasters, to leave a total of 3.05 million at the end of the period.

FOXTEL Announces Solid Subscriber and Financial Growth in a Tough Environment
Aug 13, 2009 – FOXTEL has announced results for the year ended 30 June 2009. At end-June, FOXTEL had 1.63m direct and wholesale subscribers. FOXTEL managed subscribers increased by 110k (8%) over the previous year while wholesale subscribers fell by 15%.
