Magyar Telekom Sat TV reaches 47k subs; IPTV at 60k
May 7, 2009 – Magyar Telekom (NYSE: MTA)(Budapest: MTELEKOM) has reported results for the first quarter of 2009. In Hungary, T-Home Sat TV customers reached 47,144 at March 31, 2009. IPTV grew significantly in Hungary, Macedonia and Montenegro.

448,000 DT IPTV subscribers in Germany at end-Q1
May 7, 2009 – Deutsche Telekom (Frankfurt: DTE)(NYSE:DT) has announced results for the first three months of 2009. The number of T-Home Entertain lines in operation increased to around 448,000 by the end of the first quarter.

Telecom Italia adds 36k IPTV subscribers in Q1
May 7, 2009 – Telecom Italia (Milan:TIT) has approved the Group's Q1 2009 Interim Report on Operations. The IPTV service continues to make inroads onto the consumer market with a portfolio of 365,000 clients, +36,000 compared with the end of 2008.

YouSee cable up 5%, TDC IPTV looks promising
May 7, 2009 – Denmark's TDC (Copenhagen:TDC) has published financial results for the first quarter of 2009. YouSee ended the quarter with 1.167 million subscribers, up 5.3% year-on-year. In January 2009, TDC introduced its HomeTrio broadband multi-play product.

Iliad ends Q1 with 4.3 million subscribers
May 6, 2009 – Iliad Group (Paris: ILD) strengthened its position as the leading ADSL alternative operator in France. At 31 March, Free had a subscriber base of 3,531,000 subscribers with Alice having a subscriber base of 806,000.

93,000 HD ZON Boxes installed in Portugal in Q1
May 6, 2009 – ZON Multimedia (Lisbon:ZON) has released its results for the first quarter of 2009. A further 93,000 customers installed an HD ZON Box, half of which were PVRs, leading to a total installed base of HD / HDR Boxes of 184 thousand.

Swisscom's Bluewin TV subscribers up 117% Y-o-Y
May 6, 2009 – Swisscom's (Swiss: SCMN) Bluewin TV customer base more than doubled compared to the previous year to finish with 139,000 customers at the end of the first quarter of 2009.

SKY Italia subscriber base at 4.8 million
May 6, 2009 – News Corp. (NASDAQ: NWS, NWSA; ASX: NWS, NWSLV) has reported results for its third quarter ended March 31, 2009. SKY Italia had net subscriber additions of 290,000 over the past 12 months, bringing the subscriber base to 4.8 million at quarter end.
