134 million digital TV homes to be added in 2015
May 20, 2015 – The number of digital TV homes worldwide will increase by more than 1 billion between 2010 and 2020 to 1.65 billion – or up by 180%, according to Digital TV Research. The total will climb by 134 million homes in 2015 alone.

OTT video 'account sharing' prevalent in the U.S.
May 15, 2015 – Parks Associates has reported that 57% of U.S. broadband households access an OTT video subscription, but account sharing is a lingering challenge. According to the survey, 8% are using a subscription OTT video account held by someone outside of their home.

Major U.S. pay TV providers add 10,000 subscribers in 1Q 2015
May 14, 2015 – Leichtman Research Group (LRG) has found that the thirteen largest pay-TV providers in the US -- about 95% of the market -- added fewer than 10,000 net video subscribers in 1Q 2015, compared to a gain of over 250,000 video subscribers in 1Q 2014.

TCL introduces premium TVs with Roku integrated

DISH Network pay TV subscribers down 134,000 in 1Q 2015
May 11, 2015 – DISH Network (NASDAQ: DISH) has reported results for the quarter ending March 31, 2015. Net Pay-TV subscribers declined by approximately 134,000 in the first quarter. The company closed the first quarter with 13.844 million Pay-TV subscribers.
