Croatia's MAXtv subscribers up 167.9% to 150,953
Apr 30, 2009 – T-Hrvatski Telekom (London: THTC; Zagreb: HT-R-A) has announced results for the first three months of 2009. MAXtv, the Group's TV service, increased subscriber numbers by 167.9%, ending the first quarter of 2009 with 150,953 subscribers.

Croatia - Iskon launches IPTV service
Apr 16, 2009 – Iskon, part of T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), has launched its Iskon.TV IPTV digital television service in Croatia. The service is available in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Pula, Osijek, Velika Gorica, Samobor, Opatija and Solina.

Hrvatski Telekom to launch MAXtv HD
Apr 3, 2009 – Croatia's T-Hrvatski Telekom (London: THTC; Zagreb: HT-R-A) has announced that it will add high defintion (HD) channels to its MAXtv IPTV service from May 2009, after a successful trial.

DTT comes of age in Europe

Feb 27, 2009 – T-Hrvatski Telekom (London: THTC; Zagreb: HT-R-A) has announced its consolidated audited results for the financial year 2008. MAXtv has been a major success with a 210.0% increase in subscribers to 135,573.

Deutsche Telekom exceeds financial targets for 2008
Feb 27, 2009 – Deutsche Telekom (Frankfurt: DTE)(NYSE:DT) exceeded its financial targets in the 2008 financial year. The number of Entertain triple-play lines activated climbed to around 353,000 by year-end.

Croatia's Vipnet tests DVB-H
Feb 5, 2009 – Vipnet, together with Kapsch, have launched a DVB-H mobile TV trial in Croatia with programmes from NovaTV, CNN, Eurosport, and CMC available on phones at no extra charge.

Croatia's Optima Telecom to launch IPTV
Dec 8, 2008 – A contract was signed today in Zagreb between Odašiljači i veze (OiV) and Optima Telekom (OT) to provide IP television (IPTV) services in Croatia. The service, called OptiTV, is scheduled for launch by the end of the first quarter of 2009.

IPTV Takes Root in Central and Eastern Europe, IDC Says
Nov 11, 2008 – A recent study published by IDC indicates that despite relatively limited uptake of IPTV in previous years, total IPTV subscriber connections in CEE are poised to grow more than 100% in 2008, from approximately 290,000 connections in 2007.
