Telenor reports third-quarter 2015 results
Oct 28, 2015 – Telenor has reported third-quarter 2015 results. Fibre and cable TV subscribers decreased 8,000 in the quarter to remain at just over one million for Norway and Sweden combined. Canal Digital DTH subscribers declined by 2,000 to finish at 900,000.

KPN adds 55,000 IPTV subscribers in 3Q 2015
Oct 27, 2015 – KPN has published its third quarter 2015 results. KPN’s broadband (+33k) and IPTV (+55k) net adds showed continued good growth in Q3 2015. Broadband market share grew to 41% (Q3 2014: 40%) and TV market share increased to 28% (Q3 2014: 26%).

SATRO to launch DTH satellite TV in Slovakia
Oct 23, 2015 – Slovakian cable TV provider SATRO has announced the launch, on the 2nd of November, of a direct-to-home (DTH) satellite television service. The service, called SATROsat, will broadcast on ASTRA, and will offer up to 250 channels with 40 in high-definition.

YouView to launch on Sony BRAVIA TVs in the UK
Oct 23, 2015 – Sony and YouView have announced that on Wednesday 4th November the YouView service will be available on Sony BRAVIA 2015 Televisions. Sony is the first TV maker to integrate and offer YouView to UK consumers.

Canal+ using Anevia for Cube S OTT services

Orange adds 223,000 TV customers in 3Q 2015
Oct 22, 2015 – Orange (PARIS: ORA; NYSE: ORAN) has released financial information for the 3rd quarter of 2015. The Orange Group added 223 thousand IPTV and satellite TV subscribers in the three months to end-September, finishing with a total of 7.658 million.

Sky releases 3Q 2015 results
Oct 21, 2015 – SKY has released results for the three months ended 30 September 2015. In the UK and Ireland SKY added 759,000 paid-for products, including 43,000 new TV additions and 133,000 new broadband additions.

Germany audiovisual market set to top €10 billion
Oct 21, 2015 – For the first time, the revenue generated by audiovisual media enterprises in Germany will exceed the 10 billion limit in 2015, according to the latest market forecast published by the Association of Commercial Broadcasters and Audiovisual Services in Germany (VPRT).
