Arianespace to launch Hellas Sat 3 and GSAT-17 on June 28
Jun 22, 2017 – For its seventh launch of the year, and the fourth Ariane 5 mission in 2017 from the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana, Arianespace will orbit two payloads: Hellas Sat 3-Inmarsat S EAN and GSAT-17 for the Indian space agency ISRO.

Zain launches iflix service across Middle East and Africa

Global pay TV subscribers to reach 1.09 billion
May 15, 2017 – Digital TV Research forecasts 134 million additional pay TV subscribers between 2016 and 2022 to take the total to 1.09 billion. The number of pay TV subscribers will pass the 1 billion mark in early 2018.
