Reliance Digital TV subscribers unchanged in 1Q 2013 at 4.6 million

StarHub pay TV subscribers down 4,000 in 1Q 2013
May 9, 2013 – StarHub has announced its results for the quarter ended 31 March 2013. The company's Pay TV customer base decreased by 13,000 YoY to 532,000 households and the churn rate was at 1.2%. YoY, there was a S$1 Pay TV ARPU increase to S$52.

India adds over 10 million satellite TV subscribers in 2012
May 6, 2013 – The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released telecom performance indicators for the Quarter ending December 2012. At the end of the year the reported registered subscriber base for satellite TV providers was 54.52 million, up from 44.21 at the end of 2011.

airtel Digital TV subscribers pass the 8 million mark
May 2, 2013 – Bharti Airtel has released results for the year ended March 31, 2013. Airtel digital TV had 8.1 million customers on its Direct-To-Home (DTH) platform at the end of the quarter, an increase of 872,000 versus the same point in 2012.
