May 6, 2010 – Portugal Telecom (Lisbon: PTC; NYSE: PT) has announced results for its first quarter ended 31 March 2010. In 1Q10 pay-TV accounted for 65 thousand net additions, bringing total pay-TV customers to 646 thousand (up by 68.1% y.o.y).

Apr 8, 2010 – COGECO (TSX: CGO) has announced results for its second quarter ended February 28, 2010. For the quarter, Digital Television net additions were 14,054 customers in Canada, and 12,189 for COGECO's Cabovisão service in Portugal.

127k Zon boxes installed in 4Q09; pay TV subscribers stable
Mar 1, 2010 – ZON Multimedia (Lisbon:ZON) has released its results for 2009. By the end of FY09, ZON's total Pay TV subscriber base was 1.595 million subscribers, of which 1.180 million subscribed to cable services and 414 thousand to satellite services.

Pay TV in Portugal up 85,000 subscribers in 4Q09
Feb 26, 2010 – According to the Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM), in the fourth quarter of 2009, the total number of pay TV subscribers in Portugal exceeded 2.5 million, 85 thousand more than in the previous quarter and 243 thousand more than a year earlier.
