Ericsson expands DVR services for VTR Chile and Liberty Puerto Rico
Sep 26, 2016 – Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has concluded a new deal with VTR in Chile and Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico. With Ericsson's platform, the operators will be able to expand the reach of their DVR services (Catch-up TV and Restart TV).

Chile's pay TV subscriber growth slows in Q3 2015
Jan 11, 2016 – Chile’s Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (Subtel) has released pay TV statistics to the end of September 2015. Pay TV subscribers increased from 2,772,585 in September 2014 to 2,924,140, up 5.5% year-on-year. The total number of additional pay TV subscribers in the third quarter was less than 10,000, much lower than in previous quarters.

Chile adds 22,000 pay TV subscribers in 3Q 2014
Jan 12, 2015 – Chile’s Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (Subtel) has released pay TV statistics to the end of September 2014. Chile added 22,000 pay TV subscribers in the third quarter to finish the period with a total of 2.77 million.

Jun 26, 2014 – Chile’s Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (Subtel) has released pay TV statistics to the end of March 2014. Chile had 2.631 million subscribers at the end of the quarter, up 16.6% year-on-year.

Pay TV subscribers up 10.6% year-on-year in Chile in Q2
Sep 13, 2013 – Chile’s Subtel has released pay TV statistics to the end of June 2013. Versus the end of June 2012, satellite subscribers increased from 952,767 to 1,100,709 (up 15.5%) whereas wired (cable TV and IPTV) subscribers grew from 1,168,831 to 1,246,254 (up 6.6%).

Satellite TV subscribers pass the 1 million mark in Chile
Aug 1, 2013 – Chile's Subtel has released pay TV statistics for the country to the end of March 2013. From the end of March 2012, satellite subscribers increased from 943,844 to 1,039,535 (up 10.1%) whereas wired (cable TV and IPTV) subscribers only grew from 1,162,383 to 1,205,918 (up 3.7%).

Liberty Global adds 920,000 digital cable subscribers in 2012
Feb 13, 2013 – Liberty Global (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB and LBTYK) has announced results for the three months ended December 31, 2012. The company finished 2012 with a digital video base of 9.1 million RGUs, adding 920,000 digital cable RGUs during the year.
