Lattelecom finishes 2009 with 55,000 pay-TV viewers
Jan 5, 2010 – Lattelecom concluded the year with 55,000 pay-TV subscribers. The bulk of the subscribers were Lattelecom IPTV users, with the number reaching 43,000. The remainder were viewers who have chosen to subscribe to Lattelecom's terrestrial TV service.

Kaon Media DTT PVR for ZUUMtv in Estonia
Nov 24, 2009 – Starman has introduced a PVR for its ZUUMtv digital terrestrial television (DTT) service in Estonia. The set-top box has a 250GB hard disk and is manufactured by Kaon Media.

TeliaSonera adds 29k IPTV subscribers in 3Q09
Oct 28, 2009 – TeliaSonera (Stockholm: TLSN) has released its interim report for the period January-September 2009. The total number of IPTV subscriptions increased by 29,000 during the quarter, of which 17,000 came from Sweden.

European Commission wants transition to digital TV to be accelerated

Elion adds 6k IP and cable-TV customers in 3Q09
Oct 22, 2009 – Eesti Telekom (Tallinn: ETLAT) has released results for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2009. The number of Elion IP and cable-TV customers increased by 6,000 in the third quarter reaching 94.4 thousand as of 30 September.

Viasat adds 27,000 premium pay-TV subscribers in 3Q09
Oct 21, 2009 – MTG (OMX: MTGA, MTGB) has announced results for the period ended 30 September 2009. For the quarter, Viasat added 24,000 net premium IPTV and satellite (DTH) subscribers in the Nordic region, and 3,000 net DTH subscribers in the Baltics and Ukraine.

TEO LT passes 90k TV subscriber mark
Oct 16, 2009 – TEO LT (Vilnius:TEO1L) has released its third quarter 2009 results. During the last 12 months the number of TV service (IPTV and DTT) users almost doubled and at the end of September amounted to 91.7 thousand.
