Eesti Telekom (Elion) issues 1st quarter report
Apr 24, 2009 – Eesti Telekom (Tallinn: ETLAT) has released its results for the 1st quarter of 2009, ending 31 March, 2009. By the end of the first quarter, Elion had 86.9 thousand IP and cable television customers (31 March 2008: 63.2 thousand).

TEO results for the first quarter of 2009
Apr 17, 2009 – TEO (Vilnius:TEO1L) of Lithuania has released its first quarter 2009 results. During January-March 2009, the number of customers using the company's TV services increased by 12.7 thousand to 79.4 thousand.

Lattelecom Terrestrial to be Available Throughout Latvia by Year-End
Apr 15, 2009 – Lattelecom's Terrestrial TV services will be available throughout Latvia by the end of 2009, the company has announced. The system is being tested right now and, at the end of April, Lattelecom will begin to also test pay channels.

DTT comes of age in Europe

EU Member States on course for analogue terrestrial TV switch-off
Feb 16, 2009 – The switch-off of analogue terrestrial TV transmission in Europe is well on track. Switch-off has already been completed in five Member States and by 2010 the process should be well advanced in the whole EU.

TeliaSonera January-December 2008
Feb 12, 2009 – TeliaSonera (Stockholm: TLSN) net sales increased 12.7 percent to SEK 28,096 million (24,921). The total number of TV subscriptions rose by 98,000 from year-end 2007 to 867,000, of which 477,000 were IPTV subscriptions, up 99,000.

TEO revenues grew by 4.1 per cent up to LTL 826 million over the year 2008
Feb 10, 2009 – TEO LT (Vilnius:TEO1L) has announced results for the twelve months of 2008. The number of IPTV users increased by 2.3 times and reached almost 40.4 thousand. The number of customers using the DVB-T service was 26.3 thousand at the end of the year.

Elion DigiTV customer base grew 43% last year
Feb 5, 2009 – The number of subscribers to Elion's 'DigiTV' cable and IPTV services in Estonia grew by 43% during 2008 to reach 82,500 at the end of the year.

Lattelecom Announces New-Generation TV
Jan 27, 2009 – The Latvian Cabinet of Ministers has decided that Lattelecom will be the provider of digital terrestrial television programming. Terrestrial broadcasts will be based on state-of-the-art technologies such as MPEG-4 compression.
