Broadcasting Authority of Ireland Statement on Commercial DTT Multiplex Licensing Process

26,000 3D TVs sold to date in Germany
Aug 5, 2010 – According to a survey commissioned by BITKOM, the number of 3D-capable TVs sold in Germany since their launch in March has reached 26,000, with 16 million Germans, or 1 in 6 of the population, saying that they want to buy a 3D TV.

HD televisions in 55% of French Homes
Aug 3, 2010 – According to a study carried out by GfK and Médiamétrie, 15 million French homes were equiped with a high-definition (HD) television at the end of June 2010. This represents 55.5% of homes, up from 37.5% at the same point in 2009.

Ireland to build €70 million digital TV network including new satellite service
