Liberty Global adds 286k digital cable and loses 5k DTH subscribers in 1Q10
May 6, 2010 – Liberty Global (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB and LBTYK) has announced results for the first quarter 2010. Digital cable was the strongest product with 286,000 organic additions to give 6.0 million digital cable RGUs at the end of the period.

Com Hem adds 16k digital TV subscribers in 1Q10
May 6, 2010 – Com Hem has reported results for the first quarter of 2010. During the quarter the number of digital television subscriptions increased by 16,200 (3 percent) to 592,000 subscriptions, an increase of 105,400 since the end of the first quarter of 2009.

May 6, 2010 – Portugal Telecom (Lisbon: PTC; NYSE: PT) has announced results for its first quarter ended 31 March 2010. In 1Q10 pay-TV accounted for 65 thousand net additions, bringing total pay-TV customers to 646 thousand (up by 68.1% y.o.y).

Swisscom TV adds 45k subscribers in 1Q10
May 5, 2010 – Swisscom (Swiss: SCMN) has released its 2010 first quarter results. The number of Swisscom TV customers almost doubled in the space of a year to 275,000 at the end of March 2010, up 45,000 in the quarter.

DVB-T penetration reaches 6% of Hungarian households in 1Q10
May 5, 2010 – A 33% growth was recorded in the number of DVB-T MPEG-4 compatible receivers in Hungarian households during the first quarter of 2010 compared with the previous quarter. At the end of March, 6% of the Hungarian households had a DVB-T ready receiver.

47% of DSL subscribers in France had TV-over-DSL at the end of 2009
