NXP Launches New Smart Card Reader for Growing pay-TV Market
Aug 26, 2009 – NXP Semiconductors has launched its latest smart card interface - the TDA8034 - an NDS and EMV 4.2 compliant, cost-optimized solution for the pay-TV market. The TDA8034 supports all three levels of smart card classes defined by the ISO7816 standard.

China Digital TV Announces Unaudited First Quarter 2009 Results
May 12, 2009 – China Digital TV (NYSE: STV) has announced its results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2009. The company shipped approximately 2.38 million smart cards during the first quarter, an increase of 3.3% from the corresponding period in 2008.

Telenor (Canal Digital) subscribers fall in Q1
May 5, 2009 – Telenor (Oslo:TEL) has released results for the first quarter of 2009. The number of Canal Digital DTH subscribers decreased by 17,000 and the number of Telenor cable subscribers fell by 7,000 during the quarter.

China Digital TV Announces Unaudited Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2008 Results
Mar 10, 2009 – China Digital TV (NYSE: STV) has announced results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2008. China Digital TV shipped approximately 2.66 million smart cards during the quarter, an increase of 2.1% from the corresponding period in 2007.
