Cord-cutting in Canada accelerates significantly in 1H 2015
Aug 12, 2015 – Canada’s publicly traded television service providers combined lost almost six times more TV subscribers in the first half of 2015 compared to the same period in 2014 and almost double what they lost in all of 2014, according to Boon Dog Professional Services.

Videotron introduces Canada's first Ultra HD DVR
Aug 11, 2015 – Videotron has become the first telecommunications provider in Canada to commercially release an ultra-high-definition (UHD) set-top box across its entire service area. Videotron intends to launch a UHD service by summer's end.

Bell Media's CraveTV to Go OTT on January 1

Netflix on track for 69.9 million subs by year-end

Shaw abandons IPTV plan, trials Comcast X1

7% of U.S. households have broadband and OTT but no pay TV
