Telefónica dominates pay TV growth in Spain
Dec 28, 2014 – Spain’s Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) has published telecommunications and audiovisual statistics for the country for the third quarter of 2014. Year-on-year, the market grew by 969,000 subscribers, with Telefónica accounting for more than 100% of the total, adding 992,000.

Italy postpones ban on new TV sets without DVB-T2
Dec 24, 2014 – Italy's Council of Ministers (Consiglio dei Ministri) has put on hold a requirement that all new televisions in the country be DVB-T2 compliant. The rule was planned to come into force on January 1, 2015, with retailers having six months to clear any non-compliant stock.
