France - Canal+ launches first HD DTT channel
Aug 27, 2008 – On the 8th of August, CANAL+ Group, a Vivendi (Paris: VIV) subsidiary, launched CANAL+ in High Definition on digital terrestrial. The launch, the first in France, coincided with the Olympics and the start of the French football season.

Concurrent wins ZON TV Cabo VOD
Aug 25, 2008 – Concurrent (Nasdaq: CCUR) has announced that ZON TV Cabo has chosen Concurrent's MediaHawk Content Delivery System as their VOD solution. The Portuguese cable operator is scheduled to launch its expanded VOD service in the fourth quarter of 2008.

KPN broadcasts high-quality television to mobile
Aug 19, 2008 – Dutch mobile users can now watch a choice of 10 TV channels thanks to the MobielTV service launched nationwide by KPN (Amsterdam:KPN). Nokia (NYSE:NOK; Helsinki:NOK1V) and Nokia Siemens Networks joined forces to enable the service.
