Belgacom exceeds expectations
Aug 24, 2007 – Belgacom added 51,683 new TV subscribers in the first half of 2007. Acquisition of Belgacom TV customers accelerated considerably in the second quarter of 2007, with 41,857 new customers. Belgacom exceeds expectations by bringing its total Belgacom TV customer base to 191,348 at the end of June.

Kabel Deutschland reports 19% EBITDA growth for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 of its fiscal year March 31, 2008
Aug 23, 2007 – Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007. Kabel Digital pay TV RGUs increased by 30.8% to 718 thousand at June 30, 2007 from 549 thousand RGUs on the same date in the previous year.

ITI Group enters the second half of year 2007 on a strong basis
Aug 23, 2007 – The ITI Group launched on 12 October 2006 through ITI Neovision "n" Poland's new generation digital platform. Since its roll-out, "n" has been delivering strong results in line with its business plan and by the end of the second quarter had a subscriber base exceeding 150,000.

Finland - DTT roll-out schedule updated
Aug 22, 2007 – MTV, SWelcom and the Finnish National Broadcasting Company have made an agreement with Digita Oy for it to build a total of 48 sub-transmitters to enhance the visibility of digital television in different parts of Finland.

PlayTV Unlocks Free Digital TV on Playstation 3
Aug 22, 2007 – At the Games Convention, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) announced the introduction of PlayTV, a combined TV tuner and PVR for the PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3). PlayTV will be available in UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain early in 2008.

Hungary - Digital switch-over about to start
Aug 22, 2007 – Having the approval of the ad hoc committee of the Parliament, the National Communications Authority (NHH) posted for public debate on its website the documentation of the tender call announced for national terrestrial digital television (DVB-T) and radio (T-DAB) free-to-air broadcasting, which is to serve as the basis of the digital switch-over.

Optimus launches Mobile TV in high definition (Mobile TV HD)
Aug 22, 2007 – Optimus is launching a television in high definition service. This service allows one to watch television on the mobile phone with a superior image and sound quality, since the encoding used is more than double that defined by the Mobile TV standard.

Neotion TNT France shall finally introduce its breakthrough DTT Pay TV offer by December 2007
Aug 21, 2007 – The NTF company (Neotion TNT France) shall launch its "low-cost" DTT TV package by December 2007. Initially planned for September, the start of the NTF service has been postponed to be synchronised with the legal framework governing the sales of TV sets in France.
