The DIRECTV Group Announces First Quarter 2008 Results
May 7, 2008 – The DIRECTV Group (NASDAQ:DTV) has reported that first quarter 2008 revenues increased 17% to $4.59 billion. DIRECTV U.S. net subscriber additions were 275,000. DIRECTV Latin America net subscriber additions were 200,000.

CITEL includes DVB standards in DTT Implementation Guidelines for the Americas
May 6, 2008 – The Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) has decided to include the standards for digital terrestrial television DVB-T (fixed reception) and DVB-H (mobile TV) as official standards within the CITEL implementation guidelines.
