Asia Pacific to add 78 million pay TV subscribers
Apr 5, 2018 – The Asia Pacific pay TV sector is bucking the downward trends in much of the rest of the world. Subscribers will grow by 78 million and revenues by $2.73 billion between 2017 and 2023, according to Digital TV Research.

Asian pay TV subscribers with 4K STBs reached 53.6 million in 2017
Mar 30, 2018 – According to Dataxis, the number of Pay TV subscribers in Asia owning a 4K set top box reached 53.6 million at the end of 2017. So far, more than 30 Pay TV operators have launched 4K set-top-boxes in Asia.

India adds 0.57 million active DTH subscribers in 4Q 2017
Mar 26, 2018 – According to figures submitted to TRAI, active satellite pay TV subscriptions in India reached 67.56 million at the end of December 2017, up 0.57 million versus the end of the previous quarter, and up 4.91 million year-on-year.

KDDI and Samsung complete 5G multi-device trial in Okinawa
