Azerbaijan's Teleradio begins DVB-T broadcasting in Ganja
Feb 15, 2013 – Azerbaijan's state-owned operator, Teleradio, has announced that it has begun commercial digital TV broadcasting in the country's second largest city of Ganja. The service consists of 54 local and international channels.

TELUS TV subscribers up 33% to 678,000 in 2012
Feb 15, 2013 – TELUS has reported fourth quarter 2012 results. TV additions in the quarter - both IP-based Optik TV and satellite TELUS TV - were 41,000. The total TV subscriber base of 678,000 was up 33 per cent or 169,000 from a year ago.

Rogers digital cable subscribers down 7,000 during 2012
Feb 15, 2013 – Rogers Communications has announced results for the three months ended December 31, 2012. Cable TV subscribers fell by 83,000 in 2012 with digital cable TV subscribers only falling by 7,000 owing to an increase in digital penetration from 77% to 80% during the year.

DIRECTV Latin America subscribers up 31% in 2012; U.S. flat at 20 million
Feb 14, 2013 – DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) has reported results for the fourth quarter of 2012. DIRECTV U.S. ended the quarter with 20.08 million subscribers, an increase of 1% compared with December 31, 2011. DTVLA ended the quarter with 10.33 million subscribers, an increase of 31% compared with the end of 2011.

Viasat Nordic satellite subscriber base continues to decline
