Pay-TV pilot on DTT in Spain
Oct 23, 2007 – Six companies have joined forces to launch a pay-TV trial on Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT) in the village of Alcázar de San Juan, with plans to introduce pre-paid pay-per-view content, mainly football events and films, throughout the country from next year.

Sogecable Consolidated results as of September 30th 2007
Oct 16, 2007 – As of September 30th 2007, the subscriber base of DIGITAL+ stood at 2,046,000 customers. At the end of the previous quarter, DIGITAL+ had 2,056,000 customers. DIGITAL+'s customer base decreased by 10,000 subscribers in the third quarter of 2007.

IPTV Deployments More Than Double In a Year as Broadband Continues to Achieve Strong Growth
Oct 8, 2007 – The DSL Forum today announced new broadband and IPTV statistics at the Broadband World Forum Europe in Berlin. The statistics, prepared for the DSL Forum by industry analyst Point Topic, show that the number of people using IPTV services increased by 179 per cent in the 12 months to 30 June 2007.

Half of families in Western Europe are now receiving digital television

ADB Selected To Supply First DVR For Launch On Telefónica IPTV Network
Sep 10, 2007 – Advanced Digital Broadcast has announced that it has been selected to supply high definition, hybrid, digital video recorders (DVRs) to Telefónica in Spain. ADB's ADB-5810TWX platform has been launched at IBC2007 and Telefónica will be the first IPTV operator to deploy it in volume.
