Telstra deploys Ericsson LTE Broadcast to enable video-centric applications
Mar 1, 2015 – Following a series of successful trials in 2014, Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has announced that Telstra will deploy Ericsson's LTE Broadcast end-to-end solution on their Australian 4GX network.

Optus and Nokia trial video distribution by local base stations
Mar 1, 2015 – Optus will conduct a closed trial of a real-time, interactive, multimedia video experience at its Sydney headquarters that delivers content to subscribers through onsite base stations via Liquid Applications, a solution developed by partner Nokia Networks.

India consults on DTH set-top box interoperability
Feb 27, 2015 – The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a draft Tariff Order (TO) for consultation with stakeholders. This draft TO prescribes a framework for commercial interoperability of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) offered by the Direct-to-Home (DTH) operators to their subscribers.

ZTE launches 4K Smart set-top box with Sichuan Telecom
Feb 26, 2015 – ZTE (0763.HK / 000063.SZ) has launched its super HD 4K set-top box (STB) product B860A. The announcement follows the launch of the Sichuan branch of China Telecom’s 4K super HD ITV service. ZTE collaborated with Sichuan Telecom on its development.

StarHub adds 3,000 pay TV customers in 4Q 2014
Feb 25, 2015 – Singapore's StarHub has announced results for the fourth quarter and full year ended 31 December 2014. The company's pay TV customer base was 3,000 higher in the quarter and 9,000 higher year-on-year finishing at 542,000 households.

New Zealand Sky TV subscribers down 8,707 in 2H 2014
Feb 23, 2015 – New Zealand Sky Television (NZX: SKT) has reported results for the six months to 31 December 2014. Sky finished the year with 856,348 subscribers, down 8,707 subscribers compared to the end of June. MY SKY penetration increased from 58.6% to 64.2% of satellite subscribers during the year.
