Liberty Global adds 370k digital cable subscribers in 2Q09
Aug 4, 2009 – Liberty Global (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB and LBTYK) has announced results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2009. Digital cable remains the strongest of segment, with the addition of 370,000 subscribers in the three months ended June 30, 2009.

Telenet adds 74k digital cable subscribers in 2Q 09
Jul 31, 2009 – Telenet Group (Brussels: TNET) has announced results for the six months ended June 30, 2009. At the end of June, Telenet had 854,000 digital cable TV customers. In Q2 2009, 76,000 new customers joined Telenet's digital TV service.

Belgacom TV grew by 82,000 customers in H1 2009
Jul 31, 2009 – Belgacom (Brussels: BELG) has reported results for the first half-year of 2009. Belgacom TV celebrated its fourth anniversary at the end of June. Since its launch, Belgacom has continuously grown its TV customer base, reaching 589,000 at end of June.

Belgacom expands IPTV services with Nokia Siemens Networks
Jun 25, 2009 – Belgacom TV (Euronext: BELG) has added 250,000 customers since January 2008 driven by the implementation of an IPTV platform from Nokia Siemens Networks that introduced HDTV, VoD, PVR and interactive services for both new and existing Belgacom TV subscribers.

Belgium's VOO to launch VOOcorder PVR
Jun 17, 2009 – Belgian cable operator VOO is planning to launch a new HD PVR, called the VOOcorder, on June 25. The PVR has a 250G hard disk, and will cost €6 per month after payment of a €100 installation fee.

Belgacom TV adds 49k in January-March quarter
May 15, 2009 – Belgacom (Brussels: BELG) has reported results for the period January to March 2009. At the end of March, Belgacom TV counted 555,000 subscribers, including 49,000 net adds in the first quarter.

European Commission paves the way for European mobile satellite services
