EU Launches Digital Dividend Consultation
Jul 10, 2009 – By 2012 digital TV will completely replace analogue transmission and several Member States want to quickly use the potential of wireless to achieve full broadband access. The EU has launched an urgent public consultation on a common approach.

DVB-T2 trial begins in Seville
Jun 30, 2009 – Since June 1st, 2009, Spain's FURIA project has been running a pilot in the city of Seville to perform validation testing on high-definition TV transmission via DVB-T2. The trial is the first of its kind in Spain.

Finland's Digita to launch DVB-T2 broadcasting

Serbia to use DVB-T2 and MPEG-4 for DTT
