Tele Columbus selects Espial for next generation IP video platform
Sep 8, 2015 – Espial has announced that Tele Columbus has licensed Espial's G4 STB Client and MSP solutions, as well as selected Espial to integrate their next generation IP video platform, with a first launch expected towards the end of this year.

Vodafone Portugal launches smartwatch TV service
Sep 4, 2015 – Vodafone Portugal has become the first television operator in the world to launch a TV service using a smartwatch. The service allows a customer to watch live TV on their wrist. Initially, the service is only available for the Sony SmartWatch 3.

Vodafone first to offer Netflix on a TV service in Spain
Sep 1, 2015 – Vodafone Spain has announced an agreement that will bring Netflix to a Spanish TV platform for the first time. Using the Netflix app, Vodafone TV homes will be able to watch a broad variety of series, films documentaries and kids titles through their set–top box.

Proximus releases SwipeBox for sharing photos and videos on the TV screen
Aug 28, 2015 – Proximus has announced the launch of its SwipeBox, a device for 'swiping' photos, videos and music to the TV screen via a smartphone or tablet. The SwipeBox box is connected between the Proximus TV decoder and the TV set over HDMI.

Ziggo leads drop in Dutch TV subscriptions in Q2 2015
Aug 28, 2015 – The Dutch TV market lost 17,000 connections during the second quarter of 2015, to end the quarter with 7.85 million subscribers, according to Telecompaper. Cable operators continue to lose market share to IPTV providers.
