Romania proposes DTT set-top box subsidy
Mar 26, 2009 – The Romanian government is proposing to subsidise the purchase of set-top boxes for the 1.4 million households who would be left with no TV signal after analogue switch-off in 2012.

EU Member States on course for analogue terrestrial TV switch-off

Romanian Pay-TV subscribers up 22%
Dec 3, 2008 – According to the latest half yearly report published by Romania's Autoritatii Nationale pentru Comunicatii (ANC), the total number of pay TV subscribers in the country has risen from 4.56 million at the end of June 2007 to 5.58 million by mid-2008.

OTE Group Reports 2008 Third Quarter Results
Nov 26, 2008 – OTE Group (ASE: HTO, NYSE: OTE) has announced results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. At quarter-end, the number of RomTelecom DTH customers in Romania amounted to 559K. OTE's Greek IPTV commercial launch is expected in early 2009.

IPTV Takes Root in Central and Eastern Europe, IDC Says
