Elion adds 6k IP and cable-TV customers in 3Q09
Oct 22, 2009 – Eesti Telekom (Tallinn: ETLAT) has released results for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2009. The number of Elion IP and cable-TV customers increased by 6,000 in the third quarter reaching 94.4 thousand as of 30 September.

EU Launches Digital Dividend Consultation

European Commission paves the way for European mobile satellite services
May 14, 2009 – The European Commission has selected two operators, Inmarsat Ventures and Solaris Mobile, to provide mobile satellite services, such as high-speed internet access, mobile television and radio or emergency communications, across Europe.

TeliaSonera January-March 2009
Apr 24, 2009 – TeliaSonera (Stockholm: TLSN) net sales increased 11.5 percent to SEK 27,204 million (24,398). The total number of TV subscriptions rose by 100,000 from the first quarter 2008 to 688,000, of which 509,000 were IPTV subscriptions, up 102,000.

Eesti Telekom (Elion) issues 1st quarter report
Apr 24, 2009 – Eesti Telekom (Tallinn: ETLAT) has released its results for the 1st quarter of 2009, ending 31 March, 2009. By the end of the first quarter, Elion had 86.9 thousand IP and cable television customers (31 March 2008: 63.2 thousand).

EU Member States on course for analogue terrestrial TV switch-off
Feb 16, 2009 – The switch-off of analogue terrestrial TV transmission in Europe is well on track. Switch-off has already been completed in five Member States and by 2010 the process should be well advanced in the whole EU.
