Venezuela ends 2Q 2012 with 2.95 million Pay TV subscribers
Aug 6, 2012 – According to preliminary statistics published by its Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL), pay TV subscriptions in Venezuela at the end of the second quarter of 2012 were 2.95 million, up from 2.88 million at the end of the first quarter.

Record Quarter for DIRECTV Latin America
Aug 2, 2012 – DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) has reported results for the second quarter of 2012. DIRECTV U.S. ended the quarter with 19.91 million subscribers, up 2% year-on-year. In Q2, DIRECTV Latin America added an all-time record 645,000 subscribers to pass the 9 million mark.

Global IPTV subscribers to triple
Aug 1, 2012 – The number of homes paying for IPTV will rocket to 165 million by end-2017, up from 51 million at end-2011 and from only 7.5 million at end-2007, according to a new report from Digital TV Research.
