Telefónica España resumed IPTV subscriber growth in 2Q09
Jul 30, 2009 – Telefónica (Madrid and NYSE: TEF) has released its second quarter 2009 results. Pay TV accesses worldwide reached 2.4 million at the end of June, almost 19.4% more than a year ago. Performance improved in Spain with net adds of 4,715 in the quarter.

ONO cable TV customers down 2.5% in 2Q09
Jul 29, 2009 – Spain's cable operator Grupo Corporativo ONO has announced results for the second quarter ended 30 June 2009. Cable television customers decreased by 25,000 or 2.5% in the quarter, reaching 991,000 as of 30 June 2009.

Spain - July DTT monthly update released
Jul 9, 2009 – According to Impulsa-TDT, DTT equipment sales in May were 884,076 units. The cumulative number of DTT tuners sold since the beginning of the transition process in Spain is now over 19 million units.

DVB-T2 trial begins in Seville
Jun 30, 2009 – Since June 1st, 2009, Spain's FURIA project has been running a pilot in the city of Seville to perform validation testing on high-definition TV transmission via DVB-T2. The trial is the first of its kind in Spain.

Spain - June DTT monthly update released
Jun 16, 2009 – According to Impulsa-TDT, April's sales of DTT equipment in Spain were 615,000 units, bringing the cumulative sales figure close to 18.2 million. 49% of the DTT receivers sold in April were either LCD or flat-screen TV sets.
