Global IPTV subscribers grow by 3.8 million in Q1 2012 to 65.6 million
Jun 20, 2012 – According to figures published by the Broadband Forum and prepared by Point Topic, IPTV now has 65.6 million subscribers globally, up 3.8 million in the quarter. China added over three times as many IPTV subscribers in the quarter as any other country.

Liberty Global Reports First Quarter 2012 Results

Only 20% to 30% of European connected TVs are actually online
May 7, 2012 – The European Commission has presented a report on the application of its Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD). The report says that although many of the TV sets sold in Europe are connectable, only 20% to 30 % are actually online.

Norkring Belgium to upgrade network to DVB-T2
May 3, 2012 – Norkring Belgium, the owner of the transmission park in Flanders and Brussels will, by the end of the first quarter 2013, upgrade its network to the latest broadcast standards: DVB-T2. This will be done together with partner Telenet.

SES grows its 23.5 degrees East reach in Benelux by 20 percent
