Roku launches streaming players in France
Oct 20, 2015 – Roku has announced that it is launching its streaming players in France. In France, consumers with a Roku streaming player can stream entertainment from 1,500+ streaming channels, including Netflix, Google Play, Spotify, YouTube, Daily Motion, France 24 and soon content will be added from LA VOD videofutur, Deezer, ARTE and others.

Online video revenue booming in Europe
Sep 16, 2015 – A new study from IHS (NYSE: IHS) and SpotX has found that revenue across Europe from online video jumped from €22 million in 2012 to €375 million in 2015. IHS forecasts that over half of all online video advertising revenue will be generated programmatically by 2020.

CANAL+ DTH goes all-HD with Thomson Video Networks
Jul 15, 2015 – Thomson Video Networks has announced that the CANAL+ Group has deployed its ViBE EM4000 HD/SD encoder to power the migration of its entire CANALSAT satellite offering to an all-HD delivery infrastructure based on the H.264 codec.

Western European OTT to add $9 billion
Jul 2, 2015 – OTT TV and video revenues in Western Europe will reach $13.72 billion in 2020; up from the $894 million recorded in 2010 and the $6.34 billion expected in 2015, according to a report from Digital TV Research.
