SimpleStream to Launch OTT TV Platform in Q2 2012
Mar 21, 2012 – SimpleStream has announced that it is to launch it's own OTT consumer television platform called TVPlayer. SimpleStream will use its OTT technologies and CDN infrastructure to launch TVPlayer initially in the UK this summer.

EBU drive will bring Hybrid TV into European homes in 2012
Dec 1, 2011 – More than 20 EBU Members have agreed to collaborate to unlock the full potential of Hybrid TV for a European rollout of the technology in 2012. The announcement came as the EBU opened its 67th General Assembly, at the EBU headquarters, in Geneva.

Beginning of implementation of digital terrestrial TV in Poland
Oct 1, 2009 – Poland's Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has granted general exclusive frequency licences for digital terrestrial TV broadcasting on the country's first DVB-T multiplex (MUX1). MPEG-4 (AVC/H.264) video coding will be used.

Poland's TVP Launches Free-To-Air Satellite Platform
