Telekom Slovenije to offer TV over LTE/4G
May 22, 2015 – Telekom Slovenije has developed a solution to provide its users with internet, telephony, and TV over its LTE/4G network. The service will be offered to those users who live in areas where a broadband cable connection is not possible, but where LTE/4G is already available.

Europe's first FTA Ultra HD channel to launch on Astra at 19.2°E
May 20, 2015 – SES (Paris; Luxembourg: SESG) has announced that it will be broadcasting Europe's first free-to-air Ultra HD channel via Astra 19.2 degrees East. The German shopping channel, pearl.tv, will be produced and broadcast in native Ultra HD as of September 2015.

134 million digital TV homes to be added in 2015
May 20, 2015 – The number of digital TV homes worldwide will increase by more than 1 billion between 2010 and 2020 to 1.65 billion – or up by 180%, according to Digital TV Research. The total will climb by 134 million homes in 2015 alone.

Vodafone ends Q1 with 9.1 million TV customers in Europe
May 19, 2015 – Vodafone has announced results for the year ended 31 March 2015. At the end of the period, the company had 11.3 million broadband customers and 9.1 million TV customers in Europe.

37,000 IPTV customers for eircom
May 18, 2015 – eircom Group has announced results for the third quarter and nine months ended 31 March 2015. The company said that it now has 37,000 TV customers, representing 26% penetration of its consumer fibre base.

Orange Slovakia launches VOD with Banaxi
May 15, 2015 – Banaxi has announced a cooperation with Orange Slovakia. Customers of Orange taking advantage of TV Extra, SAT TV Extra and Fiber TV services now have access to a video-on-demand service from Banaxi called Filmoteka+.

ANCOM awards more digital TV multiplexes in Romania
